Guess what?! I’m taking my creative side and Esty store items on the road to a local craft show. Truth be told, it’s a bit terrifying to put myself, er, my stuff on display. After all, right now, I make stuff and post onto Etsy so no need to interact in person.
My logical side of the brain wonders if anyone will purchase anything and it’s all been a waste of money and time, while my creative side keeps saying, “Shut the heck up! We’re being crafty and creative, and having a blast putting it together!”
Maybe you all think I’m crazy by this point, having conversations with myself. I’m also excited to see what happens and meet other people and craft vendors. This idea stems from my family and friends’ support, encouragement and praise of my items, and also on the first few chapters of Elizabeth Gilbert’s Big Magic book (if you recall, I saw Elizabeth in person a few weeks ago and was quite inspired). So here I go!
I’ll be at The Woods Church Craft & Vendor Show in Warren, Mich. on Saturday, April 24 from 9am-3pm. I have my ever-faithful best friend and oldest niece assisting me so if nothing else, you may hear a lot of laughter because that always happens when we’re together.
Here are some samples of what you might see at my table:
