She regularly meets with legislators and staff to advocate for research, new treatment options, preventive screenings and access to affordable care. She currently serves as a national LIVESTRONG leader and the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network team lead volunteer for the 9th Congressional District in Michigan, and volunteers for many organizations, including the Cancer Support Community, National Coalition of Cancer Survivors and Imerman Angels.
